Privacy Policy

Axe Throwing Tracker (the "App") — operated by BeakGeek Studio

This Privacy Policy explains how BeakGeek Studio ("we", "us", "our") processes information when you use Axe Throwing Tracker. The App is designed to keep your training data on your device. We do not run user accounts, we do not sell data, and we do not use the App for advertising.

1. Data Controller

The data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and the Polish Personal Data Protection Act (Ustawa z dnia 10 maja 2018 r. o ochronie danych osobowych) is:

2. What data the App handles

2.1 Data that stays on your device

The following data is stored only on your device (in the App's local database and preferences) and is not transmitted to us or to any server we control:

Training sessions: throws, scores, target zones, durations, timestamps
Custom ghosts and game settings
Your in‑app nickname and selected avatar
Achievements and personal records
App preferences (vibration, theme, default division, etc.)
A local flag indicating whether your PRO subscription is active

You can erase this data at any time via Settings → Wipe All Data, or by uninstalling the App. The App does not provide user accounts and does not synchronise this data to any server, so wiping it on the device removes it completely.

If you grant the App the notifications permission, the App may schedule local training reminders. These reminders are generated and shown directly on your device by Android — no notification content is sent to or through any server we control.

Android Auto‑Backup. The App participates in Android's standard Auto Backup for Apps feature. This means a copy of some local app data may be backed up automatically to your own Google Drive account (in a private, app‑only area you cannot directly browse) so that your training history can survive device wipes or reinstalls. We never receive or access this backup — it is governed solely by Google Drive's privacy practices and counts against your personal Google Drive quota only marginally. You can disable Auto Backup for the App at any time in Android Settings → Google → Backup → App data, or you can opt out of all device backups in your Google account settings.

2.2 Data processed by Google services we integrate

The App uses a small number of services provided by Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited ("Google"). These services may collect and process data on their own infrastructure, acting as independent or joint controllers/processors as described below.

Note on identifiers: Firebase services may send a Firebase Installation ID together with each report. This is a per‑install token that uniquely identifies one installation of the App on one device; it is reset whenever you uninstall and reinstall the App or wipe the App's data. We use it solely for technical diagnostics and aggregated, anonymised analytics — we do not link it to your name, e‑mail address, Google account or any other real‑world identifier, and the App does not transmit any advertising identifier (such as Android Advertising ID) since it contains no advertising.

2.3 Data we never collect

The App does not collect, transmit or sell:

Your name, e‑mail address, phone number or postal address
Precise or approximate GPS location
Contacts, calendar, photos, videos, microphone or camera input
Health, biometric or financial data
Advertising identifiers — the App contains no third‑party ads

3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR Art. 6)

Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — running the App on your device and managing your PRO subscription.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — diagnosing crashes (Crashlytics) and understanding aggregated usage (Analytics) to improve stability and user experience. Where required by local law we will ask for your consent instead.

4. Data retention

Data stored on your device: kept until you delete it via the App or uninstall the App.
Crashlytics data: retained by Google for up to 90 days for individual events (longer for aggregated stats), per Google's policy.
Analytics data: retained per the default retention period configured in Firebase (currently 14 months for event‑level data).
Billing data: retained by Google for as long as required for tax and contractual purposes.

5. International transfers

Google may process the data described above on servers located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Such transfers are made under safeguards approved by the European Commission, in particular the Standard Contractual Clauses set out in Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914.

6. Your rights under GDPR

If your data is processed by us, you have the following rights:

To exercise these rights, contact us at smartbeakstudio@gmail.com. Note: the App does not create user accounts and most data lives only on your device — the simplest way to erase it is the in‑App Settings → Wipe All Data option, or uninstalling the App.

7. Data deletion

The App does not provide user accounts or sign‑in. All personally identifiable inputs you give to the App (nickname, avatar, training history) are stored only on your device. You can erase them at any time:

Open the App.
Go to Settings → Wipe All Data.
Confirm the action — this wipes the local database and preferences.

To request deletion of any aggregated Analytics or Crashlytics records that Google may still hold under our project, e‑mail us at smartbeakstudio@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and we will pass the request to Google.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly process personal data of children. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that has caused us to process their data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Security

Data on your device is protected by the standard sandbox isolation provided by the Android operating system. Network communication with Google services is performed over HTTPS/TLS.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or in applicable law. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the latest version was published. Material changes will be communicated in‑App or in the Google Play listing. Continued use of the App after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
